Pro re-design limited edition 3D power cord

This cable by Rick is very impressive. Compared to the original Pro power cord from HFC, it is much better and a step up. I own the original Pro power cord so i could compare them side by side. The original Pro is still a very nice power cord with great results. The newer re-design is better giving you more of what was great with the original.

The sound stage widen to outside the speakers, between the speakers there was a widening of space between musical instruments. Sound was much more clear sounding, sharp with great decay but not fatiguing. Just great clean sound. In the past with Ricks products the bass would take a little time to come around and it would just not be  as fast as the Hi and Mids. It would improve with more time.  This power cord came out swing with the bass being better than before, very fast ,deep and punchy. This power cord i feel work best at my source. I tried on the pre amp and on the power conditioner which it did very well at those spots. It was best on my SACD/CD player. Hearing very subtle improvement cross the board, enough to let you enjoy the sound even more. I feel it would really shine on a nice DAC. Very happy with this edition to my system.

Rick also has a new contact enhancement just for interconnects. Now just coming out.He sent me a small sample i have not tried it yet. Still enjoying the new power cable. It looks very different than his Q45t in color, it is very gold color with a chemical make up that is different from the Q45t and just for interconnects. Will post on it in the coming weeks.

Hello jafant

Yes at one time i was all Transparent Cables. Moved to Ricks cables, as thy beat my Transparent Cables by a long bit.

Excellent. I was thinking that you had Transparent in your system.

Happy Listening!

HI jafant

All my cables and interconnect are from Rick Shultz. From his former company High Fidelity or his newer line. this includes all power cords except one, on my amp is a older 20amp Transparent Cable power cord. It has 3 of their net work boxes on it. Do not know what level it is.

Thank You for this PC update. Can you talk about the other Cables/Cords in your system? I did no see a Virtual Systems page.

No this is a complete redesign of the older pro model. And as i understand a level above  the the other 2 new lines. Rick Schultz could tell you more. It does not have the carbon fiber wave guides. It's really great power cord on my Esoteric K 03x disc player. I have his Apparition speaker cables and matching XLR interconnects (2 pair). they are just outstanding in every way. I all so have some of his original  High Fidelity power cord the Reference, Ultra Reference and original Pro power cord. Nice power cords but this is power cord is so much better. I have a very simple system amp, pre amp and disc player. At this time i do not stream or connect to the ethernet for any music. Happy with the way Ricks products have made my system so much better.

The New Shockwave must be something special, i see he is offering a 30 day return for a full refund. If he says it's good i would tend to believe him. He has never steered me wrong with his products and i own a lot of them. I would give it a try (nothing to lose). Maybe after hearing it in your system your need for new speakers would not be as strong. Let me know if you give it a try good luck

@68pete Is this the new Illumination cable...or the Apparition?  I own the new Apparition power cord...and just recently acquired the Illumination RCA cable interconnect.  I love them both....!   Rick Schultz just launched some new waveguide ethernet device....called the Shockwave.  If you try this, please let me know the effect?  I'm tempted to buy it....but trying to save up for new speakers.

No offence, but how is the reader supposed to know who "Rick" is?

I finally figured out that it is Rick Schultz, the chief designer and owner of High Fidelity Cables, but why make it so difficult?

It would be  interesting if you could put a link in your post ....

And who is Rick ?  Rick Derringer ??
