Pre and Amp for Virgo II's

The time I heard them at their best is when they were paired with a Hovland HP 100 and a Music Reference RM 200 tube amplifier. They were incredible. Then, I brought them home, and couldn't make the magic work in my system.

I'm using the latest version of the Monarchy Audio SE-160 hybrid monoblocks and the John Curl designed Parasound P/LD 2000 preamp. I use a separate AHT dual-mono phono preamp and the sound is amazingly musical AND detailed! I too, think the Virgo IIs are great speakers, and I've owned and heard many. :)
