Nuforce Repair?

I have had no luck finding the right contact for servicing a Nuforce Ref-9 mono amp. Is Nuforce as a brand co. still in Business? Optoma owns them but no response.

Hi
I read about you on the net, I am asking for your help.
I have a NUFORCE mono block. One unit does not work because of my mistake. There is nowhere to fix. I will ask for your help where it can be fixed.
My name is MOTY and I am a resident of Israel.
I would appreciate an answer from you.
It is possible if someone is willing to sell a surplus together.

Thanks Tony.  I just messaged Rafael and hopefully he might be able to help.

Oddly enough, just before I read your posting, I stumbled on to an "active" NuPrime customer service page, which had contact information for a number of people in customer service and technical support.    Rafael was listed as one of the New Service Center locations, however the person I talked with (who I assumed to be Aamir Vahidy (US Distributor) Tel: +1-416-821-4723) said "we're no longer supporting legacy NuForce products, s parts have become next to nonexistent and the technology in them differs from from NuPrime.

Interestingly enough . . . .  here's a link to their Customer Support information page and look at the italics in the middle of the page.

I'll post if we have any success in getting this Ref 9 repaired.

Thanks.

My NuForce P-8 went down about 5 months ago. I had Bob Smith fix/and upgrade it about 5 years ago. This time when it suddenly stopped powering up after initial turn on I tried reaching him to no avail. I eventually found a guy in Florida that works/services gear from NuPrime. His name is Rafael Lopez.. helplopez6129@gmail.com. Unfortunately my preamp is not able to be repaired because of the fact noted before about circuit board issues. They were made in Taiwan and sadly no more stock remaining. Wonderful sounding preamp while it worked. Now a door stop. Try contacting Rafael. Maybe he can help your situation.

Bob Smith did work for me on Nuforce a few times 3-4 years ago.
He didn’t seem very healthy at the time.

Just curious, have you been able to source someone to repair your NuForce Ref 9 SE, V3?    I have one that just bricked on me and no luck at Optima, Bob Smith's TDSS website is down.

I've got that same sick feeling that I'll be left with a single working mono block.   There are some reports in Indiana that may suggest that a  Robert Smith passed away in August, but I've not been able to confirm it it is THE Robert Smith we're looking for.

If anyone has an info . . .  it would be greatly appreciated.

I have monoblock Nuforce Reference 9 Special Edition Amos, which Bob Smh of mytdss upgraded for me a few years ago.I'm having a problem with the amps..I tried going to the mytdss website, but it no longer exists. Hopefully, he didn't pass away.Does anyone have any info as to what is going and where I can have my amps repaired? I'm feeling very sick about my amps needing repair work and whether I can have them repaire

Bob did some recent work on a pair of Reference 9v3se for me. It does cost around 1100 but it is more than worth it. He transformed an already good sounding amps to flat out great. And, afterwards, he gives you a lifetime warranty.

Communication and turn around was A+. He is the certified tech for NuForce.

NuForce having been sold is sad news to me. As a past 9 SE's owner I dealt with them personally at the Milpitas location. What an energetic, innovative, and responsive group.
Believe Bob Smith in Indiana handles this work for NuForce and maybe NuPrime, a spinoff of NuForce when it was bought. So just Google "Bob Smith" :)

Good luck as Nuforce was sold to another company that doesn't seem to be very proactive.
I've studied the Nuforce Ref-9 SE V3 monos, and to me the smp power supply is fixable, but if anything goes wrong with the main board it's swapout for new mainboard, as it's very tight smd packed components with a multi layered pcb, not very friendly for component level fault finding and fixing even for very good techs.
Cheers George
