There's a group of us from Audiocircle.com that gets together on a montly basis. Meetings have been at peoples' homes in NYC, NJ, CT, upstate, and Long Island. Great group of guys...

I went to The Container Store on 6th av and 19th st and bought everything I needed (including foam corner pads) for about $20-$30 if I remember...It was nice, everything you need. Check out their website for prices and products.

Hello NYC A'goners - know of a cost effective place to buy packaging material (boxes, bubble wrap & the like) in the city? I need to pack up an old McIntosh preamp for overseas shipment. I find "Mail Boxes etc" too pricey.

There's at least the Gotham Audio Society and The Audiophile Society (the magazine The Audiophile Voice grew from that). I'm sure those guys will chime in with their details; my recollection is that for The Audiophile Society the contact is David Nemzer, I'll send him an e-mail to have him check out your post. Or venture across the river and join us for a New Jersey Audio Society meeting (my house, Sunday the 20th is our next meeting).
