THE NEW YORK AUDIO SHOW ‘24 – ITS FUTURE
19/03/24
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yes, we’ve been very quiet – and we regret that, but for good reason.
We have made the decision to remodel this long standing and successful show; one of the very best for doing business each year, due to its high quality and valued Visitors, exhibitors and of course trade and press attendance.
There is simply no way that this show can be continuously hosted in NYC, due to extremely high venue costs, unworkable venue guarantees, demanding unions, and yes high attendance costs for both exhibitors and visitors.
The New York Audio Show will become a smaller, more bespoke type of event and will be limited to 30 market leading brands; it will be held outside of Manhattan at a Venue that has ample free parking, great ambience, and greatly improved accessibility for everyone involved, and yes and most importantly mostly Meeting Rooms.
We have several venues shortlisted at present, hence why we’ve been quiet, and we will announce our choice in the next 28 days, together with a new date which will be shared with all the outstanding Exhibitor* enquiries we have had for this year’s show, as we intend to make this event one in which Exhibitors have a direct engagement, as we intend to make it more of an alliance.
*We are also taking on board many of the comments and constructive comments we’ve received from Visitors as well, our Early Bird ticketing will be extended, via pre-registration, meet and greet staffing with an ongoing buffet, and where Exhibitors agree we will encourage them to undertake timed demonstrations throughout the 2 days . . . in other words a more organized, sophisticated and visitor focused experience, definitely not your average ‘HiFi’ show.
The US already has a major show in the form of AXPONA, and we are sure that will grow; there are also many regional shows, that sit behind that and our top table event, in the greatest City in the world... but watch out for some additional news that will increase our presence in the US of similar context but bigger along with dual show deals.
By changing things, the reputation of the New York Audio show will be further enhanced, as it continues uniquely to attract ‘show buyers’ and to achieve that, we must constantly be aware of the need to move with the times.
As with all our shows we will continue to partner with Stereonet International who share exactly the same ambitions as us.
Whatever your interest in this show we welcome feedback.
