New ultra high-tech speakers

Hi guys, what do you think of the new breed of ultra high-tech speakers, like Lumen White White Light, Sonus Faber Stradivarius, Dali Megaline? These speakers should be the state-of-the-art, although they have very different designs (the Lumen White and Sonus Faber are dynamic designs, the Dali Megaline is a ribbon/dynamic hybrid). Btw, they all cost around $ 20,000. But still much cheaper than Wilson Audio Grand Slam, the JM Lab Grande Utopia and the Kharma Exquisite Reference 1b.

There are hundreds of thousands of starving people on this planet. The cost of just one pair of the aforementioned speakers could feed many. Think about it; you can't take anything with you when you become soil...
I would characterize these as high quality, high style speakers rather than high tech. Little novel technology is involved.
Gthrush1,

There are hundreds of thousands of BOSE listening people on this planet. The cost of just one pair of the aforementioned speakers could reform many. Think about it; you can't hear anything when you buy BOSE...

Go hug a tree, dude.

There are quite a few speakers in this price range at $20,000 plus. As for high tech, the speaker that you mentioned are using technology that has been around for awhile. In my humble opinion, the speaker companies like Wisdom Audio and Wilson Benesch are pushing the high tech market as well as the ultra high fi market price. And if you can afford them, more power to you!
Take a look at this months Absolute Sound review of the Technical Audio Device Model-1. I heard this system at CES with Pass labs amps and the dynamics were unmatched!! This is clearly a technology statement product. Beryllium concentric tweeter midrange point source and an amazing cabinet constuction. I had not really heard of them but they have been in pro audio for years.
