New McIntosh MTI100 integrated turntable. What do you all think?

It does seem a bit odd to have the tubes physically affixed to the plinth like that. There are a number of issues this can introduce... this can cause issues with the cartridge picking up hum or causing magnetic interference, as well as introduce vibrations into the plinth which will cause resonance to the platter and motor directly.

...Better hope the plinth and motor are isolated and/or damped properly.

I think it’s ugly looking.  What was McIntosh thinking in building that monstrosity?

The arm looks a lot like the Player tonearm from VPI with a modified anti-skate mechanism... come to think of it, the platter and motor look like VPI components as well.

For what it's worth, the Player tonearm can be had from VPI for $200.

 About $6500.00

It's definitely not for me but I'm curious how much for this retail?
