Thanks for the heads-up, Scott. I'll be looking forward to hearing Ted Nash's latest effort.
New jazz CD's of interest
It's been quite some time since I contributed a post on jazz recordings (and I owe Ben Campbell an abject apology for my tardiness in providing an article), but I thought our jazz buffs might enjoy reading an article in today's "Seattle Times" newspaper. The article, a review of four recent jazz CD releases, is written by Paul DeBarros, a local jazz critic who is a contributing editor to "Downbeat" magazine.
I have found Paul's reviews to be well-informed, and he has an exceptional knowledge not only of the established jazz artists, but also familiarity with the younger jazz musicians on the scene. In short, when Paul writes reviews, I pay attention to what he has to say.
Here's the link to today's column by DeBarros:

Good listening!
