Need to upgrade speakers

I purchased a lot of stuff from old friend who was in Vietnam and bought all this equipment in 1974, Luxman L100 amp, Luxman tuner, Teac A650 cassette,Teac A4300sx reel to reel, Bose 901 with equalizer, black tulip stands. Had all the equipment tested and rebuilt, speakers etc. All the wood is in exceptional condition.
(PS also got 450 albums) also all original boxes and brochures for equipment.
I have a Bang and Olufsen Beogram TX with a good needle.
Questions.
1. Keep Luxman and Bang  turntable,
2. Sell the Teac cassette and reel to reel, all serviced, what price
3. Sell the Bose speakers, totally refurbished, what price
4. What speakers to match up with the Luxman L100 and bang turntable for around $2000-$2500 spend

Another vintage option would be JBL Jubal or above

congrats - you might also take some $ and upgrade the Cartridge on the Tx

as for pricing research I would consult the blue book here for a small fee or use HiFi shark to get an idea on market values...
Keep the Luxman, but get brand new speakers. Don’t go vintage unless you like to DIY.

The turntable and tape players really depend on how you listen to music, and how you want to collect it.  Right now I'd suggest you go all digital with a streamer of some sort.

For the way I’m going to guess you listen to music though:

  • Klipsch Heresy
  • JBL L100
  • Harbeth.
  • AudioNote
  • Devore
I did upgrade the needle to a Soundsmith SMMC3 cartridge in the "bang"  Some great suggestion on speakers I have read about all of them, I do have a collection of mid century furniture as well, maybe 30 plus pieces, so the speakers will need to look esthetically correct in the "sitting room" along with the Nelson walnut clock on the wall.
I think you are correct I would like to go digital with a streamer, what would be a suggestion for that.
If I sell the the Bose, reel to reel, cassette, B&A, I can fund speakers and streamer.
Thanks John
