Need service for Metrum DAC. Company seems defunct.

I have a Metrum Pavane which needs servicing. I went on Metrum's website but it seems like it's out of commission. Does anyone know if Metrum is still in business? If not, does anyone know where I can send a Metrum to get serviced?

Thanks.

Thanks. I went on it earlier today and something popped up on my computer that it wasn't a safe site. I filled out the return form and it appears there was a glitch and it didn't take my information. Those things plus  Cees leaving a while ago put an uneasy feeling in my stomach.
I sent an email to the customer support. I'll see if I get it back. Thanks for responding.
Cees  lhas left  Metrum? It seemed to me when I once owned one of their DACs he was the heart and soul of that company. Surprising.

Cees Ruijtenberg left Metrum Acoustics a few years ago when their investors (i.e., the money) apparently changed the company business strategy to make money faster at the expense of customer satisfaction (i.e., they ate too much and sh_t the bed).  Cees then started Sonnet Digital Audio. Metrum Acoustics has since realized their mistake and tried to reset the clock and apparently brought Cees back in a Research and Development role.  They seem to still be viable and apparently they came out with a DAC3 module that is a user upgrade for the Pavane earlier this year.

For your repair, I suggest you try again to get in touch with Metrum and if that doesn't work then try to reach Cees at Sonnet.  At one point I heard he was still supporting Metrum customers and products, when Metrum themselves wouldn't or couldn't.

I have owned 5 of their products and still own the Jade, Ambre, and Baby Ambre.  They all work and sound great.  The Pavane was the flagship and in my system it sounded really good, and maybe a little better than their Adagio with its onboard volume control. The folks at Alpha Audio NET seem to be in the loop on Metrum Acoustics (see below).
Good luck.
This seems reminiscent of the Dennis Had-Cary Audio scenario. Remove/eliminate the brains and heart of the company who made it all possible.

Metrum is still very much in business.  I've had recent discussions with both Cees and Roelof Lochmans who both returned my emails quickly and were of great assistance.
Roelofs email is roelof@metrumacoustics.com

I just recently upgraded my Metrum Onyx with four DAC 3 chips from Metrum and the upgrade was worthwhile.  I had discussions on this DAC3 chip upgrade with Cees who basically said the Onyx would be at 95% of the Sonnet level and very similar to the Pavane level with the chip upgrades.  They were not cheap so YMMV.
@hshifi  thank you. I emailed them twice on different email addresses and I haven't received a response yet.
I also emailed Sonnet and someone got back to me immediately offering me suggestions after opening the lid.
Hello,
I know a lot of companies are really having a hard time keeping up with everything due to the supply chain issues. They are spending so much of their time putting out fires every day that they barely have enough time to run the regular parts of the business.
I sent multiple emails to Metrum using three different addresses. I haven't received a response on any of them.
I did however, receive a response literally within 10 minutes when I emailed someone at Sonnet.

10 minutes.

Using their suggestion, I opened the DAC and found a loose pin on a ribbon going into the right DAC board. It was sticking up and almost out. I pushed it back in and voila! All is well.

Thank you to the gentleman at Sonnet.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this on my last post...

I sent a thank you email to the gentleman at Sonnet and he sent a "you're welcome" email back... In 30 minutes.

I still haven't received a reply from Metrum regarding the original problem.
@devilboy,
I'm glad that you were able to get assistance and correct the problem.  Now back to the music 😊.
