Need direction for moving CD collection to hard disc

I'm looking to rip my CD collection to hard disk and a portable high quality player for travel/car (Pioneer possibly), looking for some direction how to get started/ what to think about.  I want something that is really really easy, can be accessible around the house, and likely NOT computer based (seems like it's one more thing to break/go wrong/have to manage, but unclear if this is possible especially with the portable)  I have no view on Budget but I've seen a number of products from Naim etc, that appear to be CD rippers and storage. If it can rip SACDs great, if not, I'll deal with standard Red Book.  I currently do not use iTunes, or any other music software (we are fully disc based) and I don't believe in "the cloud" for myriad reasons.  Currently have a few hundred CDs, but would rather have more space than less.

Current equipment relevant to thread
System 1
Marantz AV8802a - wifi
Oppo BDP-103 - wifi
Tivo mini - MOCA network

System 2
Marants SR 7007 - hard wired ethernet
Sony UBP-X800 - hard wired ethernet
Tivo Roamio - MOCA network

I have Verizon Fios high speed with their MI424WR router.

Other equipment which may be relevant:
Ipad Mini 2
Ipad Mini 4
Iphone 6s
Samsung Galaxy 5

Thanks!

Not clear to me why you wouldn't want to involve a PC if the goal is to rip a CD to "hard disk". A PC is fairly easy and (should be) available around the house.

For red book only, if the best rips possible are the objective, nothing is going to best Exact Audio Copy

That said, there are a host of alternatives (both software and hardware) where you will get a great rip and never be able to hear a difference.
An outside the box idea.... don’t rip any music you have to a HDD or any drive. Get a subscription to the music service/server you like, such as Spotify or Tidal, and find + save all the albums that match your CD and SACD collection you have, to folders. Streaming is getting better and better.
+1 for subscription to Tidal!
Subscribed myself about 6 months and have never looked back, $20 a month for hires titles that with the right equipment wipes the floor with redbook cd playback.

However if you are still looking for a non pc based cd ripping and playback system then possibly take a look at the Bluesound Vault 2.
This has inbuilt 2tb hard drive that can also be backed up to an external 2tb hard drive just in case.
It requires a hard wired ethernet connection but then all titles ripped to it can be seen on your pc if you have a homewide network. It can also be accessed by ipad, iphone or android phone.
ripping a cd is as easy as feeding the cd into its front slot and let it do its thing in about 7 minutes it pops back out and you are done. I also stream Tidal directly through my Vault.Playback through your system can be done via analog outputs or choice of toslink or rca digital output.

You can also add Bluesound nodes throughout the house as well.

I bought mine a year ago, ripped all my cds to it and between that and Tidal I am all set. Well I play vinyl too but that is a whole nother story!
+1 uberwaltz. The Vault is a tremendous device, designed and made as the kind of audio gear you seem to be looking for. I went for Bluesound because it enabled me to get away from the computer and ITunes for music playback over my stereo. I did not expect it to sound as good as it does. MQA playback was astonishing, best sound I had heard since I had added tubes to my audio system.
