+1 for subscription to Tidal!
Subscribed myself about 6 months and have never looked back, $20 a month for hires titles that with the right equipment wipes the floor with redbook cd playback.
However if you are still looking for a non pc based cd ripping and playback system then possibly take a look at the Bluesound Vault 2.
This has inbuilt 2tb hard drive that can also be backed up to an external 2tb hard drive just in case.
It requires a hard wired ethernet connection but then all titles ripped to it can be seen on your pc if you have a homewide network. It can also be accessed by ipad, iphone or android phone.
ripping a cd is as easy as feeding the cd into its front slot and let it do its thing in about 7 minutes it pops back out and you are done. I also stream Tidal directly through my Vault.Playback through your system can be done via analog outputs or choice of toslink or rca digital output.
You can also add Bluesound nodes throughout the house as well.
I bought mine a year ago, ripped all my cds to it and between that and Tidal I am all set. Well I play vinyl too but that is a whole nother story!
