MY SONIC LAB Cartridges

I'm considering the Hyper Eminent for my Shindo/Altec setup. The table is a Kuzma Ref 2 and Ref 313 gimbaled bearing arm. My question only has to do with sonic flavor. I was going to go with a Koetsu Rosewood Sig, but as much as I love Koetsu, I think it will be too warmly balanced in my setup. So I'm looking for a slightly more neutral sound without  dipping in to brands that tend to hyper detail the event. I think many of us know what lines they are, so let's leave specific names out of this thread. Let's just say I'm looking for a more linear, dynamic sound, yet still retaining enough body.

2/2 Oops...thought I had chimed back in to say I bought the Hyper, and realized I never did. I bought the Hyper. (-:

Billwojo has some keen observations about aluminum that get me thinking. I couldn't tell you which aluminum alloy was used in some of my bicycle frames. Considering that there are physical differences between one alloy and another, it seems reasonable to want to know exactly which alloy might be being used in a cantilever. I am always curious that way, even if I wouldn't know the difference between any two alloys.

Leading to my next question, that has to do with any treatment of the cantilever itself. Are there any? If so, what might they be?

I didn’t pay much attention to break in. It sounded good right away. As expected, It didn’t get on well with my high impedance A23 Homage step up. It sounds great with my Dave Slagle/Emia SL (super low) impedance step up. I went with the copper version. It doesn’t have the resolution of the Ultra Eminent which I listened to, but for my preferences, I think it was the right move. The Hyper has more weight and body than the Ultra in my setup.
