Multi DACs like Exasound E38 that Support DTS-HD MA?

There aren’t any conventional “DACs” that support DTS-MA.  This is a Blu-ray specific audio format that is limited to HDMI as a transport mechanism du to licensing and encryption restrictions.

Understood, but 1080p BDs are obviously and rightly going the way of decyrptable CDs, what with Any DVD HD and other such software tools. Indeed, for cinephiles who have longed enjoyed playing with DVD movie images, JRiver player allows what Java BD authoring and hardware licensing imposed locks prevented with Oppo and all hardware players: Multi range slow motion and zoom control over BD movies.

Likewise, why then should we have to contend anymore with hardware interface protocols which prevent us utilizing our often very expensive systems as we please?

It's really long overdue for this community to request from the niche industry serving it that they become proactive in bringing about the changes we have longed deserved.

5.1 PCM over HDMI doesn’t work as well as DTS-MA anyways.
