Multi DACs like Exasound E38 that Support DTS-HD MA?

 Having finally learned the one basic difference between PCM and DTS-HD MA https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=209091 , surely a DAC like the E38 would likely sound considerably if not far better than many AVRs and HT processors, at least for the same money.

 

If only a 5.1 pcm surround track wouldn’t be so large then most BD and DVD movies could conceivably feed the multichannel DAC which I was all set to go with. https://www.exasound.com/Products/e38MarkII8-channelDAC.aspx

 Aren’t there any multi DACs that sound as good as the E38 and support DTS-HD MA?

There aren’t any conventional “DACs” that support DTS-MA.  This is a Blu-ray specific audio format that is limited to HDMI as a transport mechanism du to licensing and encryption restrictions.  You want to look for an HT Processor.

5.1 PCM over HDMI doesn’t work as well as DTS-MA anyways.
