It is not a problem at all. You can soak a record in alcohol for two weeks and it will play just fine. I have done this. I even did it in brake cleaning fluid. Same results. After doing a lot of research having been wrong on the topic, additives to PVC are mostly to facilitate the pressing process and do nothing for playback. Actually by removing certain substances like plasticizers from the surface you harden the surface which might make the record more durable. I think this is how LAST works. It is just a solvent.
