Modern day female jazz recommendations

We all know the classics from decades ago. What are your favorite your more contemporary female jazz singers of today?

Living close to Nashville I have the opportunity to see and hear a lot of up and coming artists. Nashville is NOT just country music by a long shot.

I'll start with Diana Krall....

If Jane Monheit's musical selections were as terrific as her physical appearance, WOW, she'd be at the top of all the 'more lustful' male audiophiles on this site!
To call some of these people Jazz performers stretches my definition a little. Don't get me wrong, I love virtually all of them, if not their music, but I'd have to say that when I think of Jazz female vocalists, Ella comes to mind, Sassy Sarah, Billie; after that, there are select few.
Maybe its because Ella sang improvisationally, as did Sarah some, but the rest just touch the outer edges, at least, to me.
As much as I love Buble's music, I don't think of Jazz when I think of him--more of old standards with Big Bands to the rear. Obviously I'm wrong as he's listed in the Jazz bins and charts.
Anyone else see this distinction?
Melody Gardot--really good music, and good lush recording--perhaps a little too buttery for some, but I like that lush sound of an orchestra.
Plus, her voice is (to my taste) just about as sexy as one could ask for. Plus she has an interesting story--injured, having been hit by a car.
Buy her last album--you can see her singing on you tube.

Maybe I'm late to the party...but I've got to say that the finest talent, new to me, that I've heard in the past 20 years, is Renee Olstead.
She's just now 22 years old--but if one goes to youtube and watches her "Someone to Watch Over Me", that she performed at the ripe old age of 14...you'll hear someone who's voice sounds, angelic, beautiful, well seasoned and just beyond imagination. (Feel like Rod Serling with that one).
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW.
She has two albums--I have both, and they're hypnotic--she takes ownership of every song she sings...they are hers once you've heard her sing them.
"A once in a generation or two, or three, voice!"
