Yeah @roxy54, though it shouldn’t be the case it very well could be. It’s just Mazzy’s recommendation of politically-themed albums, no reason to get po’d. My goodness, why on Earth are people in this country (for those of us in the USA) so quick to get argumentative, feeling they have to "take sides"?
In the old days the rule for family gatherings was "No politics, no religion." But if a group of artists made albums in which political issues are the subject, why can’t they be mentioned without the fact that politics is involved therefore making them forbidden from even being cited as examples of same? Is even mentioning Neil Young's song "Ohio" forbidden? Would a list of albums in which religion is the subject also be forbidden? Any other subjects that are off limits?
How can Dylan's album The Times They Are A-Changin' be discussed if the political content can't be mentioned? It can't. How silly, how juvenile. No wonder much of the world views us as they do.
