Lumin U2 mini music streamer

Just purchased the Lumin U-2 mini and I am in the process of the 30 day free trial period. Very hard to add a single track to my playlist.  Dealer advised there are two ways to accomplish this as follows:

1. Add an entire album to playlist and delete the tracks you do not wish on the playlist.

2. Type in the track desired and add to playlist.

Both take an inordinate amount of time to accomplish, especially on a small screen.

I am also having a problem as my Apple IPAD is only 10 inches. Would like to

work with a larger screen as the screen is very small to my eyes. The apple I pad that is 12.9 inches is not enough of an improvement in size.

Lumin's owner's manual states that they are compatible with Android and IOS, no mention of the MAC operating system which run their lap tops.

If I purchased an Apple laptop with a larger screen, would the Apple laptop operating system work with the Lumin U2 mini, as the laptop operating system does not use IOS?

By the way, the Lumin U2 mini,  with a Chord Qutest Dac sounds much better than my Cary CD player (which I use as a transport) with the Chord Qutest Dac.

Thank you for any input and advice.

Long press the track. Then click one of the squares with an arrow: it puts your track first, next or last in the playlist. Or replace the playlist with only the chosen track (the last square button).

PS

Have you disabled unnecessary functions like Lumin streaming, Roon ready, Multi room etc in the options? They compromise sound quality, just as does using Roon.

I use a gen 9 IPad with my Lumin U2 Mini and Qobuz and agree that the Lumin app is not really intuitive when you first start using it but you get used to it quickly. Not sure about playlists as I don’t use them- I usually store titles to favorites and go from there.

I believe the Lumin app supports laptop use as well- you can start with the link below. There is also a dedicated forum thread for Lumin at Audiophile Style that gets attention directly from professionals at Lumin.

I would definitely use it a little more before spending more $$ just for a larger screen (unless you need a laptop upgrade anyway).

Lumin App

I had the U1 Mini with Qutest. A very good sounding combination but the Lumin software is not that great. I switched to Roon and liked the sound and the user experience much better. Try it for 30 days free before you return the Lumin or start buying new Apple devices.
