LSA 20 Signature Loudspeaker

I'm looking at these LSA 20's for my bedroom, the size is right and they look good. In the review it was stated you set them up 5 ft from the wall. I don't have that luxury. How close to the wall could they be placed and still sound good? I don't need booming bass ( In a condo and can't play to loud anyway) ? Anyone have thoughts or experience with these speakers?

You should probably look at bookshelf speakers, as they are meant to be placed near corners.

I think those speakers will be too bass heavy placed close to a wall.  I’d look to these LSA 10 Signatures and buy these Monoprice stands and fill them with sand, lead shot, etc.  probably a better fit given your room.

Thanks for the input, I'd prefer a small tower with wood cabinets that fit in the room to a bookshelf on stands. Right now I'm using Golden Ear Triton sevens but want to move them into the livingroom home theater set-up.

These Silverline Preludes might be a better fit if the speakers need to be closer to the wall as they’d be less likely to overwhelm the room with bass.  Just another option…

I bought the LSA 10s. Paid $1300 for them and then it took me 5 months to sell them at a steep 50% discount. They were not good in my room with my amp, I hope you will have better luck with them,

I was thinking you wanted them close to the corners, hence, bookshelves that could be placed in either bookshelves or console.

But, if you want a floorstander, then perhaps, consider Zu. They are a bit more than the LSA's, but I really doubt you'll get a decent speaker for under $1K.

Steve Guttenberg has reviewed a number of small loudspeakers that might fall in your budget. Google him on Youtube.

except Steve is more of an entertainer. Regardless, youtube is a good resource (new record day, zero fidelity, pursuit perfect systems, darko...)

seems like my post is missing

Assuming the 20s are biwireable, if they're too bass heavy you can disconnect the woofer cables/jumpers
