Legacy Audio Focus SE and rivals

I am Interested at Legacy Audio Focus SE - their natural look Is exceptional, they are very efficient, got 2 x 12 Inch woofers which cut off  low end at 18 Hz at - 2 dB , curious about  HF end where cut off Is 30 kHz

I would like to ask you - are they neutral sound speaker, are they sensitive to closer to wall placing

are there any better alternative at that price

Another longtime Legacy user here. Their strengths match my listening preferences. I use the Signature SE, but with a larger room would move up to the Focus SE. The fact they are not ported allows closer front wall placement. One caveat: the dealers above say Legacys "sound great with a large number of amplifiers." This is true, but they sound best with high current, Class. For many this means Pass or Coda. You don't mention what amp(s) you would be using/considering, but Legacy would not be my speakers of choice for tube amplification.

I have the focus and the valor think they are bang for buck speaker I like them but I listen to soft rock.i have driven them with many amps theylove power

I got a pair of Signature SE two years ago. I originally bought a pair of Classic HD,  and after listening to them for awhile always kicked myself for not going for the Signatures instead.  However,  the factory gave me a very generous trade in on the Classics; the sound characteristics of the two models are the same,  but the Signatures just have more.  I would guess that it would be the same situation between the Signatures and the Focus.  I would have gone with the Focus,  but they're a bit larger and the WAF factor sort of kicked in.  Plus,  the sealed design of the Signatures makes for more flexibility in placement.  I'll second everything audiotroy said in above post. My hot button is soundstage and imaging,  and these really shine in that characteristic.  Also,  great detail,  and very non fatigueing. I listen to a lot of classical  (along with blues,  rock, and jazz) and the separation and placement of instruments in a symphony orchestra is incredible. Smaller ensembles, like string quartets,  sound very warm and natural.  Same with vocals. I'm driving them with a pair of PS Audio M700 monoblocks.

Is there any place that a rich person isn't trying to convince you that you must have what they are selling?  Moderator...should sellers be posting here?  I've noticed if anyone else says anything out of the way at all it get's removed.
