Jay’s Audio Lab is shutting down

Not sure why except he says he’s getting a bigger building somewhere.

I watched a few of his videos.  For me, not that it matters, the whole thing doesn't add up. He has 36K subscribers and most of his videos get a minimal number of views (5K-25K).  I think it's reasonably safe to say he's not making lunch money (once a month) from direct youtube income. It's hard to believe that viewership is driving deep discounts on gear such that he can support his habit and a family, a house...

I have nothing against the guy. I wish him well in whatever he decides to take on.  I just don't see a successful business model given the face value of the info he offers.  (..and I worked for a fortune 500 company for my career..unless you're a VP or senior Director in HR, the pay is miserable, relative to other non-HR positions/divisions..so he didn't make a fortune there, at his age)

I hope he does well..whatever it is..he's a mystery to me though.

i watched some. he and his gear exist in a world i dont, and  i didnt like watching/listening.

I do think he is a good guy.  I'm sure the move will work out for him financially given the exploding costs of living in south Florida.  I did a consult with him once and I swear he said he worked in software - not HR.  But maybe I heard wrong.

I bought a few things from Jay. He was honest, pleasant, promp, and friendly.we do not have a brick and morter store like the big cities and no time to go to the big audio shows. His prices were the lowest at the time. Have not had any problems with his merchandise and was as advertised. Wish him well and still watch some of his reviews. Enjoy the hobby.
