I never Wed to the SL myself, I have one that is with very little usage. It is reserved as a back up or a loaner Cart’ to someone needing a stop gap.
The SL is a Cart' I purchased without attempting to receive a pre-purchase experience, where I did not follow my usual disciplines for purchasing. I regularly advise against buying without a prior experience. I am usually encouraging the footwork to be done, to create a Shortlist based on experiences had, before the spending. In my case the SL is a reiteration of why this pre-experiencing has an importance.
The Sales Spiel for the MK II, clearly makes it known design for the Cart’s Structure has changes made, where the intention for the improvement for resonance control is the priority. The resonance control has also been attempted to be improved in relation to the design for the Stylus > Cantilever.
With the widely seen reports for the Hana Blue, where very little to suggest it is not an attractive Cart' is to be found, and the knowledge that the SH was dumped by many, for the ML. It does seem to be fitting that the sales spiel, references parts from these two Cart’s are now used in the MkII.
I had my take on the SH, as being a Cart’ that was put out to test the waters for Volumes of sales that could be achieved for Hana in a particular price range, I see it as a assembly of readily available parts.
I sense, there is betterment to be discovered in the latest version. The MkII does seem to have a much improved thought and intent gone into how as a design, the parts selected, treatment used on parts selected, strongly suggest it sales closer to higher Spec' Brand Siblings, where it can produce with increased accuracy, the facsimile of the Groove Modulation, to become an end sound.
