Is my Chord Qutest dead?

I've use, and enjoyed, a Qutest for some years now -- until today, when it suddenly gave up the ghost. It's completely dark. Just to check and try to be certain, I unhooked everything and brought the unit into another room and plugged it in there -- nothing.

Should I assume it just died? Should I get another power cord in case that's the problem? If so, what exactly do I need? (I've always used the cord that came with the device.)

Is this sort of thing unusual? Everything else seems just fine. I'm assuming that this device, like pretty much everything else these days, cannot be repaired.

Thanks for any help you might give a guy with this.

Try another power supply. The Qutest uses a 5V USB power input. Swap in a known-good USB 5V power source (at least 1A) and see if it powers on.

Thanks, @lalitk. I'd not realized that the power supply and connector were so standard, but had foolishly assumed that I'd need some sort of special, Chord-style unit. I'll try another power supply tonight and hope it works. As for contacting the company, it honestly never occurred to me, as getting any information of use from a big company these days generally seems out of the question. Perhaps I'm wrong to think that way.

Anyway, thanks.

A battery power bank - like the common ones used to charge cell phones - that ouputs 5V will also work.

Customer service is excellent with quick responses has been my experience since purchase.   Don’t fear the email.

It works! I picked up the unit that @lalitk posted a link to as an example, and it worked like a charm! I've got no idea whatsoever what went wrong -- did the original power supply just give up the ghost? does that sort of thing sometimes happen? -- but I do know that I'm back in business. Thanks so much @lalitk (and others) for your help! I'd have been lost without your kind assistance.
