Is my Chord Qutest dead?

I've use, and enjoyed, a Qutest for some years now -- until today, when it suddenly gave up the ghost. It's completely dark. Just to check and try to be certain, I unhooked everything and brought the unit into another room and plugged it in there -- nothing.

Should I assume it just died? Should I get another power cord in case that's the problem? If so, what exactly do I need? (I've always used the cord that came with the device.)

Is this sort of thing unusual? Everything else seems just fine. I'm assuming that this device, like pretty much everything else these days, cannot be repaired.

Thanks for any help you might give a guy with this.

A battery power bank - like the common ones used to charge cell phones - that ouputs 5V will also work.
