Integrated that blew you away

Like most I run separates but am looking to downsize but also upgrade. So for the first time since I decided I wanted as close to a world class system as I could afford, I’m looking at integrated amps.

So if you’re a separates guy/gal but heard an integrated that really struck you. Please share. I want to hear all the steamy details. The speakers, the source, the pursed lips and steamy glances.

If you want to keep the quality of endgame separates and have a single box with everything including a streamer, DAC, CD transport and optional phono, look into the T+A R 2500 R. It is $18,800, and the optional phono is ~$900.

it punches almost at the level of the T+A HV separates costing multitudes more. It basically has the equivalent of the acclaimed $7,620 T+A DAC 200. Its integrated nature allows it to be voiced exceptionally well.

I’ve had one in possession for a year and used it in my room at AXPONA to power Vivid Audio Kaya 90 speakers. I also used a Pure Fidelity Harmony turntable with a Tri-Planar U2 SE tonearm, and the internal phono stage was no slouch to handle the superb table. I had no regrets using this unit to demonstrate how a system totaling ~$100K could beat out many of the systems in nearby rooms costing near $1MM or even more.

One of the best things about the unit is that it weighs 35lbs all in.

There are now a number of favorable reviews on this unit.

Of course, in full disclosure, I am an authorized T+A dealer, but I’ve personally owned T+A electronics for years before becoming a dealer by trade.

Accuphase E-800.  I may actually prefer it to my Accuphase Class A separates.

@gochurchgo I have a full warranty accuphase e800, complete, demo from my shop if interested, its very nice piece

The top of the line Denon I purchased in 2007 for my 7.2 system.  Great for music and HT.  Used up until 2 years ago when I went with separates for my 2.2 music system.  Still have it in the closet waiting.
