In 1959 my late uncle had a Marantz tube amp & pre hooked to a pair of Klipschorns playing those newfangled stereo LP's..

It was a glory-us sounding system which I recall with great fondness... his system is what got me hooked.

Loving this. The snarky tone of the non-audiophile narrator certainly has not changed. And really, why bother? Everyone has their pet hobby and wouldn't it be better if we just let 1000 flowers bloom?

Fantasic! Nothing has changed except back then, almost everyone smoked. 

The opening scene is the early invention of the portable 'boom box'. I remember a guy who put a record player in his car in the early 60's. Great stuff!
