I'm selling Classic Records versions of Led Zep 1 & 2. As you know, they are expensive and I want to make sure I get this right.
Thanks again.

How do I identify a Classic Records label reissue of Led Zeppelin II?
Hello fellow audiophiles:
I believe I have a copy of the Classic Records reissue of Led Zeppelin II. I'd like to sell it, but obviously need to be sure it's the real deal.
How can I be sure it's a Classic Records reissue? The Classic Records sticker on the shrinkwrap is missing, but it's clearly a heavier "audiophile" vinyl, at least 180 grams.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks,
Steve
It's on the back of the jacket at the bottom right below, Atlantic Recording Corporation 1841 Broadway New York, New York. Manufactured and distributed under exclusive license by Classic Records Inc. I tried to post a pic of it, but it's impossible here. Send a PM with your email and I can send an image. |
This took just a few clicks You have one of these Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin II (2000, 180 gram, Vinyl) - Discogs Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin II (2005, 200 Gram, Vinyl) - Discogs There where test pressings for those years, but it doesn’t sound like you have one of those. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin II (2000, Vinyl) - Discog. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin II (2008, Vinyl) - Discogs Overpriced in any condition. I prefer the period press. The 45’s in the case seem like a cool "must have" for the Zep head with a fat wallet. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin (2006, 200 Gram, Vinyl) - Discogs |
@stevegreer2213: Go onto the Discogs website and look up the album. Each pressing of the album is there (there are 898!), with details on how to identify your copy. |
