Preamp advice @ vthokie83, What else steered you away from the BAT VK-80 to the Mother Lode? I was just looking into the BAT very recently, as well as the VAC Renaissance MK V. Both very fine pre amps. I was surprised to see RCA's on the BAT, I thought they we...
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! How about power cords. What are you guys using on your Coda amp?
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! @ sim_audio_nerd, are there locations where you can shop for items like the volume control knob? One of my friends had new knobs milled out of brass for his Prima Luna amp. As I recall it wasn't cheap, but a very nice improvement.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! Thanks guys for the helpful responses. I had no doubts about the LTA and Arics Mother Lode pre amps. Another plus for me is the single box design of the LTA, the two box design is a challenge for placement for me, but not out of the question. @j...
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! @Teajay (Terry London), Mr. London, if you are still monitoring this thread, what are your top recommendations for pre amps that match well with the S5.5? I have the amp but I am having some difficulty in pre amp shopping understanding what is a ...
Wattgate IEC does not fit tight. I use the entry level FURUTECH Audio FI-15 Plus IEC's. They are $50-$55 on eBay. They fit butt tight and dont move, plus high quality.
Modular LP record storage suggestions The Boltz units look like a perfect solution that will fit in my office, and be bomb proof. But you guys have scared me off of them, and their website is slower than molasses. Ikea, looks like flimsy junk that ends up out on the curb.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! @ minatophase3 I just got around to installing the two Acme Audio Labs 12 amp fuses. The factory fuses however are 16 amp, not 12 amp. So I cant use these two Acme fuses, wrong value. So if you installed 12 amp as you posted, you used the wrong v...
Beware, scammers everywhere @cohicks4 Scammers cannot pull money back from your bank account from a cleared check. A cashiers check is drawn on bank funds as it was purchased by the user. So, you deposit it, it clears, the money is yours. If the check is a fake the bank wil...
DIY Helix Geometry Cabling Thanks for posting Steve. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at building, starting with power cords.
Western Electric 300B problem There is no way Uncle Kevin is burning in WE 300B's. Possibly if they have been purchased, and then only if by request.
What I have found - Makes a good Cable ! @williewonka Is your cable making webpage gone? I can't find it, and your link doesn't work.
Shrink Totem 1's? Repair or replace that tweeter and sell them. Then buy something that works as is. Those are great, very well made speakers, with nicely braced and crafted cabinets. As a lover of "vintage" Totem products, I am appalled that you want to chop down ...
Shrink Totem 1's? Why not cut your amp in half while you're at it. Save space and use less energy.
The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"! @fthompson251 Are you still saving for the Spatial Audio Raven pre amp? I am leaning towards the Atma-Sphere MP3, or a used LTA with level two upgrades. The MP3 is superior, but twice the price, and they do not come up for sale used. Well only v... |
