How do I connect my speaker cables to this Coda Amp

I need help from all of you Coda owners out there please.

I just purchased a Code 16 amp. and the speaker terminals on the back are a little unusual. I can't connect the spade ends of my cables to the terminals, they just don't fit. I have Kimber Select speaker cables. They have the larger style spades. When I look down at the terminal I can see that the spade will go down over the gold plated post, but there is a clear plastic sleeve built around the terminal that will not let the spade slide down in around the post. I guess I could buy spade to banana adapters but that seems a little chintzy. I called Coda and left a message but have not heard back yet. They are usually very good. Is there a secret that I don't know about?

I like the Furutech connectors on the XA-25...gotta get used to them but with proper size spades they're great.

Those sound like nice connectors.  My Pass has Furotech.  Spades easily went in from the bottom.  I changed mine due to weight of speaker cables.  Right angled or 45 degree angles.  I really like the Rhodium coated 45 degree.  You can tighten down a know which expands the banana.  You will not be able to pull them out once tightened.  They are Chines tho.  $6 each.  I have Pine Tree Audio speaker cables, so I just sent them back and they installed them.

I experienced similar issue but for Dali speakers terminals. The only thing helped me was the fact that speakers was equipped with massive gold plated jumper plates which actually helped to keep nice strong connection. Without those jumper plates the only way was to replace cables for one with banana plugs.

I have the same terminals on my #8.  I’ve read if you twist hard enough the cover comes off but I haven’t tried and wouldn’t recommend it.  One option is to remove the spades and use bare wire or optionally re-terminate with bananas.  Let us know what Coda says.

I have the same connectors on my Electrocompaniet amp. As has been said you have to align the spades perfectly, and they will fit. I have large spades on my acoustic Zen cables. It was a pain, but I got them to fit. I use spades now-:)
