I was having reflections off the fireplace glass surface so I used a leather couch as a bass trap/absorption device. It works perfectly!! Will write a review at some point.
Of course the sound is most important, but now that you know that it works, why don't you make a panel with fiberglass insulation and fabric on a frame?
