I'll bet that it actually works through some form of excited resonance, but the price seems really absurd. Every time I see it, I want to go take one of my drum cymbals and experiment with it.
Reactance like a cymbal. Screw several of their TT record weights on the wall, that would be interesting and make for a difference. I have tried this before with some other devices of similar material but different shape and it could be dramatic. The shape and material determine the velocity of sound thru and off the surface. It is very tricky to work with. Tom
