HiFi Rose RS150B vs. Eversolo DMP-A10

I have an Eversolo DMP-A8 that I just moved to a system in a second home, so now I need to replace the streamer/DAC in my primary system. I started with a Cary Audio DMS 550, then replaced it with the DMP-A8, with a linear power supply upgrade, now thinking about going with the RS150B or the new DMP-A10. Any thoughts about the two? The streamer/DAC will be connecting to my Accuphase E-4000 integrated. The internal storage of the streamer is important to me as it houses my main music library - ripped SACD's so mainly all DSD files.

I can add my 2cents even though,I’m a bit late to the Eversolo party.

I sold my A8 and just hooked my new A10 today. She sounded very nice right out of the box and has improved over 12 hours.Larger, deeper and very quiet.

The function of the Eversolo line is by far the easiest to use for me and fell right in with the A8.I just dc’d the A8 and loaded up the A10 from the same app.

Plus,I did not pay $4k.

We can’t have a thread mentioning Eversolo without a certain forum member showing up to trash talk them. Not discounting the seemingly poor experience that member had, but it all still feels a little overdone. Many of us have had flawless performance out of our Eversolo devices.

I went with the Eversolo DMP-A10. I paid $3,200. It's a noticeable upgrade to the A8. The sound stage is wider and deeper with better instrument separation. The big surprise was how pronounced the fathom center channel is with the A10 in my system. The music is a bit more lively than the A8 and pairs better with my Accuphase. I don't use the pre-amp capability. Since my music library is mostly ripped SACD's, stored DSD files, having 8TB's of internal storage makes managing my music easy, I just network map the A10's internal drives and copy music across my network. I took the A10 to a friends house and did some blind A/B testing against a Cary Audio DMS-700, ~$7k, and we both agreed the A10 more than held it's own.

There are more than one Agon member with Eversolo issues @josephp732 .

I had an A6 that I loved for around a year. When the SSD memory section failed with my ripped CDs, the Eversolo response after over three weeks of back and forth email was for me to send the unit, and the Samsung SSD card to China at my expense for them to review. I asked if they could provide a replacement unit. The response was "No", because it would not take them long to evaluate the issue. They did say they would pay the shipping for the unit back to me.

I passed on this generous offer, sold it with the disclaimer regarding the SSD memory not working, and went with Innuos and Bricasti. Absolutely no regrets. Will never bother with another Eversolo product and will bash them whenever convenient.

@thriftyaudio Who did you buy your A6 from? My A8 had an issue with it's Samsung M.2 NVMe drive. I purchased my A8 from Upscale Audio, they were very helpful and took my A8 back and sent a new one. The new one had the same issue in that the SSD drive would get corrupted and failed. After some research I discovered that the Samsung 970 EVO Plus drive I was using needed a firmware upgrade. I performed the upgrade on the drive by mounting it in my computer and using Samsung's dashboard tool. It's been rock steady ever since. In my research I found that the Western Digital Black SX850X NVMe drives and a Scandisk model also had issues and needed firmware upgrades. The two Samsung 990 PRO 4TB drives in my A10 had been performing flawlessly.
