Help with SME 309 arm lift. Will not lower or rise.

Was trying to adjust the the height of the SME 309 arm lift; it was to high. I doing so I messed something up. The lift will not rise or lower now. I used a .9mm Allen wrench and  inserted it into the proper hole and either through something serious off or damaged it. I can’t get it to rise and lower properly now. It actually rises a bit when it’s in the down position now.

https://sme.co.uk/audio/wp-content/uploads/sites/1/2016/12/SME-series-300-instructions.pdf See page 22. It says the adjustment is sensitive, and to use firm pressure after adjustment. You probably just turned too much and need to get back to where you were and then carefully tweak to where you want it.
@millercarbon I’ve tried to back it up but I messed it up.
looks like I’ll have wait till SME contacts me Monday
I used a .9 mm Hexagon wrench I had to purchase. It seemed work fine. .89 mm wrench would basically be a .9mm wrench
Try to do the procedure again till the screw unlocks, at the same time press lightly with your finger the lift or play slightly with the cue lever and see what happens.
Under the set screw there should be a nylon plug. It will not damage the metal can of the lift and gives a smooth motion. If you tighten down on it to hard you squash the plug and jam it in the hole. Back the grub screw out and wiggle the lift front to back to see if you can loosen the plug.
Thanks everyone I was able to get the arm lift to work again. Maybe this site has some useful purposes after all :) LOL
