Help with Room Acoustics Please

I have a 10x12 foot room and have a desktop setup, Rega IO, Triangle Borea Bro 2 speaker.  I have the speakers on my desk 4ft apart and on 6 inch stands and about 12 inches off the wall.  I want to impove my sound in the room, i see alot of rooms with acoustic panels behind there speakers.  I guess i would like some advice from someone here who knows about this stuff and point me in the right direction.

GIK Acoustics for the best performing in the low Hz  at good prices.

ATS Acoustics has among the best value and good performing.
That's a great way to spend a lot of money, get fairly good results for not much effort, and not learn very much in the process. If you are willing to put in more effort in exchange for learning a lot more for less money while getting at least as good results, Owens Corning 703 is the acoustic panel used inside a lot acoustic panels.

You will probably only need 1 sheet of 2x3 ft OC703. Get the 1" thick stuff. Cuts easily with a razor blade. Very light weight, you can use pins or tape to check and try different locations. OC703 is incredibly effective. To see what I mean, place a sheet against the wall, stand in front of it and speak. Then move two feet away and speak. You will hear the difference. That is what it does around speakers. This is what I mean by learning. Cut a few pieces, try them different places, won't take long to get the hang of it.

Then when you have things figured out go to the fabric store, have them cut what you want, wrap the OC703, fasten on the back with pins. No cutting, no sewing, nothing but a few pins and a few minutes. What I did. https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/8367
