I've not heard the SVS's but i have heard the kanta 2's and was not impressed for the money. but that’s my listening preferences only.
I would also point out you’re shopping in two different price ranges by a $10000 margin, so I’d expect the SVS’s not to be at the same level as the Focal’s.
What I found with the Focal’s is they are super detailed with good overall balance. But I find them to be on the bright side and I also found them to have a disconnect between the midrange and tweeter section. Equipment in the treated room was Chord TT2/M-scaler, Chord integrated (new modlel), Kanta 2 (Also Sopra 2 which i felt sounded worse than the Kanta 2 in that room).
If you like a highly detailed and tipped-up presentation, then you may love the Kanta 2’s. I found them fatiguing.
SVS maybe somewill give you an idea of the sound signature. Potential to save $10000.
