GROUND LOOPS

I have been told to get all the PLUGS into your One and Two wall outlets and do not mix up with power strip/surge protectors & the wall outlet...

Ground loop hum drives me crazy...especially in my Magneplanar 3.7i speaks.

I notice all the high-end systems here have their plugs strictly into the wall.... Glad to see

QUESTION: Could one augment the ONE plug with a 5 plug adapter into that one plug? Or plug all into a POWER STRIP. like PANAMAX? And then the Panamax one plug into the wall outlet only?

Thanks so much in taking the time to write back...

A good conditioner, 300.00 or so will do it fine. Plug it into the wall if you want NO protection. I would NEVER plug in a piece of equipment into a wall socket. Plane and simple. Safety first, protection second. I've never had a SQ issue because of a, maintenance, or protection device.

Hi Thanks in responding. Maybe you can clear somethings up for me. So, you are saying that I buy a "Good COnditioner? for $300.00 or so?
What is the "SQ" ?
I get hums with plugs into a surge protector...I take three prong plugs out of surge protector, place a two prong over the three prong, plug back into the wall..no hum....
It's quite frustrating
Get a whole house conditioner that is wired into your mains box.....all will be good
Thanks for the link..it's great!  Thank you....Being There was Peter Seller's last movie and Melvin Douglas won an oscar for his role too...

Best to you all...
Process of elimination to find the offender. When I did that I plugged it into an EbTech HumX. No hit to SQ.
Months later after other rerouting I removed the Hum X. I don’t know where the hum went but it must have followed Elvis out of the building. Now the EbTech is an unecessary tool in the drawer.
