GAT has more transparency and impact, sharper cleaner transients and digs deeper in the bass, ET5 more romantic in comparison (ET5 is not romantic in an absolute sense, certainly among top tier tube linestages, but relative to the GAT it is)
GAT versus ET-5 Conrad Johnson preamps
I own an ET-5 Conrad Johnson preamp for 7 years now, and I love it! I wonder if a GAT CJ preamp would be much better. Has anyone compared ET-5 and GAT preamps?
