ATC P1 versus P2 amplifier opinions

Greetings all. I've been using the ATC P1 Pro power amplifier for several months now and been very pleased with it. In the back of my mind I've been wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to the P2 Pro. I used to think the only difference was the power output but I've been reading that there are other changes also. I know the P2 has two huge transformers so I know that is a big part of the 12 lb difference in weight. I'm looking at this as an endgame amplifier whichever way I go. So even though I don't think I need the P2 at this point, I think it would future proof any speakers I use down the line. If any of you have heard both I would sure love to hear your opinions. For that matter if there are other amps I should be considering in this sub $5,000 (new) price range feel free to chime in. Thanks
