I'm finally starting to get my 2 channel system dialed in. I was really into 2 channel in the early 90s then got out. I like to think of myself a s a critical listener. I get 2-8. hours a week to play what I like at the volume I like. My system is decent, but I'm sure there are way better. For horn jams, I find myself going to this Steely Dan tune West of Hollywood on the album Two Against Nature. From about 4:28 to 8:20 I think it is a killer jam. I'm wondering what other people think and like.
I need to admit I am a Steely Dan/Donald Fagan/Walter Becker fan. I really do like all of their music. I love the twisted lyrics and and jazzy/pop sounded style. I recently ( in the last 2 years) discovered the Two Against Nature and Everything Must Go albums. I missed those two albums. WTF? What was I doing? I'm pretty sure work got in the way. Anyway, they are both excellent recordings IMHO.
If you don't know the jam referenced above, I like to hear your thoughts. I also like to hear what you guys think is a good horn jam to listen to. I'm sure there are many!
On a side note, I'm not trying to disrespect any of the horn playing greats and would like to keep this thread positive.
Cheers,
Bob-
