Evoluition Acoustics at THE Show this year

What are your thoughts on the System Three ($145,000?) or the mighty little 2-way MODEL ONE ($3800?)  Did anyone hear these?

IMO Kevin Malmgren at Evolution is making the best speakers available and at a value price for their category. System Three was the best in the building. Model One had a very linear, detailed, huge sound and punchy response to down to -3db at 35hz ... incredible performance, beating things at 4x the price

The System Three was my favorite speaker at the show.  How much of that was the room and the associated electronics I have no idea but if I could spend that kind of money on a pair of speakers they would be on my short list.  I felt they had electrostatic clarity and imaging with incredible attack, transients, and bass while still sounding very natural and involving.  I'm not normally a fan of tall skinny speakers but they sounded great.  The little speakers were never playing in the many times I stopped by the room.  If I had noticed they were that cheap I would have asked to hear them.

@pinwa the bookshelf Model One was in a different room playing all weekend

they sound remarkably similar to the system three

I have the old evolution accoustics mm3 and the use accutron ceramic for mids and ribbon tweeters. Big woofer top and bottom.sound great.glad to see back in business.

@mark200mph  I also use MM3 w Exact filter

which is built in to the middle cab of the all accuton system three ... which is much better vs mm3 exact

nothing wrong w mm3 exact :)

but 20 years later design and drivers ... much better
