Emotiva XPA-1 VS. McCormack DNA-750’s...

Any thoughts etc,
Many people put the EMOTIVA amps out front...?
is this true?
The 750’s are thought of as superb!

The Emotiva amps are 1000W at 4 ohm.

Your thoughts and messages are paramount. Thank you

Emotiva amps may be a bit bright on some speakers!
But the sound is pretty good, via Emotiva forum.
What do you all think?
IMHO Emotiva is pretend high end but not even mid-fi.  Owned a piece many years ago, hated it because of ice pick in the ears treble and a loose bottom end.  Quite gaudy looking as well and those blue lights can burn your retinas out.
If people are saying it is better than a DNA750, then they need their ears cleaned.
Unfortunately, I had some of the same experience with the XPA series amps, though I had the XPA-3.  Boomy inaccurate bass, and a brightness that was an issue.  The Parasound Halo A21 was in a completely different class.  I think those XPA amps have switching power supplies these days, not great.  Also they only spec down to 20 Hz.  How many db's down their amps are at 10 hz, your guess is as good as mine.

I would expect the XPA-1 to be better than the XPA-3, though.  You probably don't need mono blocks, but I know what it's like to want what you want.  A Parasound Halo amp would be fine, or if you're on a budget, the Adcom GFA 575SE, at 350 wpc.
