Electronic repairman.

Can anyone recommend an audio electronic repairman in the Saint Petersburg Florida or Tampa Bay area. Before we moved to Saint Petersburg from Chicago I thought that I had carefully marked the tubes on my VTL 300 Monoblocks. I put them all back and now the sound is very low on one Martin Logan CLS speaker. I also removed the base of the Logans for packing and one has no sound.

I am not sure if he is still in business but if so Tom Tutay of Transition Audio Design in Fort Walton Beach FL is a great tech.

You should let the CLS's charge up overnight before trying to send a music signal through them!

ML should be ready within a few minutes after power is applied. Check fuses on ML. (I've owned CLSz yrs. ago but don't recall if they had fuses ) check to make sure all high voltage leas are attached in the ML bases. Check fuses on amp (if any). Make sure wall outlet is working and not controlled by a switch. Check house fuse for line where stereo is situated.
