Elac Vela BS403 vs KEF LS50 Meta
I have LS50 Metas paired with a couple of KC62 subs, but have an opportunity to but a little used pair of ELAC Velas with stands for a good price.
I’ve been happy with my KEFs but sometimes you get the bug to try something different and I have been wondering whether the ELACs would offer me an improvement.
I’d appreciate any thoughts you all might have. Thx.

@fritzenheimer I’ve never heard the Kef’s but have owned the Elac’s and they are some of my favorite speakers that I’ve ever owned. My wife still talks about them. If you’re itching to try something new, then I say do it. I think you’d be happy with them. |
I have owned the KEF LS 50’s, they are great speakers. I moved up to the KEF Reerence One, a very significant upgrade. I have heard the ELAC’s at shows and have been consistently impressed. It is a lateral move, I expect some parts will be better, but it in general it will just be different, which is good too. Then start saving for a leap forward. |
