Echo in the Canyon (documentar movie)

See this movie if you get a chance! It's so good. The footage is a treasure of that point in time.

A brief blurb from the PR:

Echo In The Canyon celebrates the explosion of popular music that came out of LA’s Laurel Canyon in the mid-60s as folk went electric and The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield and The Mamas and the Papas gave birth to the California Sound. It was a moment (1965 to 1967) when bands came to LA to emulate The Beatles and Laurel Canyon emerged as a hotbed of creativity and collaboration for a new generation of musicians who would soon put an indelible stamp on the history of American popular music.

Featuring Jakob Dylan, the film explores the beginnings of the Laurel Canyon music scene. Dylan uncovers never-before-heard personal details behind the bands and their songs and how that music continues to inspire today. Echo in the Canyon contains candid conversations and performances with Brian Wilson, Ringo Starr, Michelle Phillips, Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Roger McGuinn and Jackson Browne as well as contemporary musicians they influenced such as Tom Petty (in his very last film interview), Beck, Fiona Apple, Cat Power and Norah Jones.

Saw it.  Enjoyed it immensely.  It doesn't hurt that my sister has lived in the thick of Laurel Canyon's music ghetto for 40+ years.  And back in the 1970's, me and my rock band regularly jammed at my cousin's Laurel Canyon pad.  Hey man, like, how come I'm not featured?????????
Yeah David, The Wrecking Crew is fantastic! I have that on DVD, and by the way, I learned Echo In The Canyon will also soon be available on DVD.
I think I need to see that!I read the book "Laurel Canyon" which was excellent .It was packed with stories and anecdotes from interviews of the artists and their friends who lived there during that period.

@tooblue, @bdp24......I found it for sale on apple tv and it will be offered to rent starting tomorrow. Another good music documentary that I have enjoyed a couple times is ‘The Wrecking Crew’ about session musicians in LA back in the ‘60s.
