I managed to borrow a Furman conditioner to see if I could hear any change. Maybe just me but I could not hear any change. Still looking at Maybe trying the Herbies

Generally speaking I am fairly happy with the overall sound but wondering if there is something I still need to add. For example the Rotel has an onboard digital offering but do Ineed to or should I seperate that out. I am currently considering stereo subs although I am not sure they are a must have. Most of my listening is vinyl or streaming. Almost no CD listening. Thanks in advance to any thoughts

Cables makes a difference but only minimal compared to other tweaks... I made my own isolation device : 4 little pieces of quartz,one plate of granite cement, sorbothane pieces, another granite plate cement,cork plate,bamboo plate, pieces of sorbothane, speakers on top...My speakers are on my desk with the amp. and the dac on each of these sandwiches plates... Cost minimal results very good... |
Cables and power are always heatedly debated. I did check out the Gia footer and they looked very nice interesting but a little rich for my blood. It did get me looking further in to this though and I found Herbies decoupling gliders. Price is more doable. Anybody using these or know about them with an opinion |
roberjerman There is NOTHING wrong with the AC from your wall outlets! Honestly! Power conditioners are a clever marketing ploy to get the gullible to spend more money! How could you possibly determine, state, and assert that there is nothing wrong with our AC power when you have not measured, evaluated, or researched the power quality of the users, members, and contributors to this forum! You can not possibly know the actual truth you are just another user hear who is consumed with belief that rises to the rank, level, and status of religious fervor. |
Looks like you are missing bass traps and some absorption panels on the first reflection points on your walls . Look into trying a power conditioner for your Hapzies . I would try some Gai footers for those Focals too . These are not break the bank tweaks . Enjoy those speakers . Like the Focal sound . Used to own the 948. |
