DIY Nordost banana speaker cable replacement?

Anyone successful at replacing a Nordost  banana speaker connector?

Mine is completely severed  at the middle of probe.

Shoved the broken piece into the remaining  end, and able to enjoy uninterrupted listening.

Appears straightforward- remove at solder point/replace with new connector?

What brand of banana connector does Nordost use?

I've replaced Nordost phono cable RCA's, but these speaker cables(Heimdall) appear to be a little  more involved?

I make all my own speaker cables. I use BFA style "banana" plugs. aka z-type. I use the simple crimp and solder type, either solid copper or silver plated. They don’t have a larger diameter insulated section to grab so I put 2 or 3 layers of shrink tube on to create a grabbing point.

I have been extremely happy with the sound through these connectors. they have a larger, firmer conducting surface and they are low mass (which many people don’t know, don’t care about, but I have been pursuing it and am happy with it).

Wouldn’t Nordost re-terminate those? Or sell you the 🍌 plug at least?

Looks like it is not as easy as this, checking Nordost's return policy:

"All returns of Nordost products must go through the dealer through which the original purchase was made"

Definitely not as friendly as returning product from other smaller manufacturers, and definitely a disadvantage of buying from a larger volume manufacturer.
