Difference between Marantz PM-11S1 and S2

Can anyone explain the difference between these two versions of the Marantz integrated amp? Both can be had on the 'Gon with the S2 being almost 2x the price.

Good luck. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to find out the differences between the MA9S1 monoblocks and the revised version, the S2. I concluded, with no help from Marantz or my local dealers who were clueless, that therewere in fact almost no differences except some capacity was added to the power supply. Therefore, I chose to buy the older version at a savings of $2500 to $3000 and frankly, the sound is superb. My take is that I would start with the older model and see if you like it.
The 11S1 is now discontinued while the S2 is still available. However I now believe it is on the verge of being replaced with the S3. Check Marantz.com and search the models. Musicdirect.com may be a good place for information as well.

From some of the reviews I have read on the two, the S2 was to have a little more warmth and tube like sound to it's presentation. In my stereo stable I recently purchased a PM8004 integrated. It falls under their reference series where the PM-11S1 and S2 reside. To best the 8004 the above models must be smoking.
Well, it looks like now we're up to the 11S3. This thing looks to be a monster--100/200 wpc into 8/4 ohms and nearly 60 lbs. at $4995.

However, for half that you can either get a 15S2 Limited or a PM-KI Pearl B-stock.

I totally agree about the PM8004. At $999 it is astonishingly good as is the matching SA8004 disk player, and I'm not a fan of digital. The PM8004 so owned the Sonus Faber Cremona Ms it was driving that for $5K the 11S3 would probably be my first choice anywhere near that price.
I have the original Marantz PM 15. I don't think the Marantz integrateds get any better than this:

As far as I am aware.
