Denon Power amplifier or Yamaha amplifier help please

Hey guys I have a pair of Polk Audio RTI A7s. I am sort of stuck on which power amplifier to choose to run with my speakers can you please advice and give me any suggestions if anyone has used them?

im tossing up between the Denon Poa 2008 power amp or the Yamaha PC2002M power amplifier ?which one should I use and why any difference between them

Speaking only from a reliability standpoint, my Denon POA2200 (purchased in 1985) is still going strong. It doesn’t get nearly the playing time that it used to but it still fires up and rocks out when I decide to set up some of my vintage gear.
Hey cakyol. You mentioned the Yamaha PC2002M was good and can’t be compared with the Denon Poa 2800. Have you yourself personally owned one or come across them being used or demoed? How was it any feedback is much appreciated.

Cheers
Cheers. yogiboy. Just a question because they are both older amps 15+ years. I know the Denon Poa 2800 operates great no issues, i have spoken to the seller of the Yamaha PC2002M and it runs perfect no issues. But I read from another user that amps that old generally need a service even if they still run and power up properly? What do you guys think? Or can I get away with just using them and taking care of them not blasting crazy volumes .

The reason I started this thread was to get advice and help regarding audio related queries. My father also has a pair of infinity reference 60s, we started this audio journey together something a father and son took to a liking to and a fairly new to everything. After my dad heard the Denon Poa 2800 on my speakers he was in the same boat as me and was convinced that he had to get rid of his Denon 3805 receiver and go on the hunt for a power amplifier and preamplifier to improve his sound quality and music listening experience. So I told him I would give him my Denon POA 2800 which is rated at 200 watts per channel which we believed would best suit his infinity reference which are rated at 200 watts into 6 ohms. So I went on the hunt and that’s when I came across the Yamaha PC2002M power amplifier which on paper seems to have a little bit more kick on paper then the Denon Poa 2800 so I thought it would be more better suited for my Polk A7s the Yamaha PC2002M pushing out 240 watts into 8 ohms and my speakers are rated at 300 watts into 8ohms. I just wanted to get advice from other members in regards to comparing the two power amps what should i do? Is it worth it? Or should I just stick with the Denon? The asking price for the Yamaha is $800 AUD.

I don’t know why the other user lost his cool and thought I was fishing for attention I shouldn’t have to write a big long post mentioning every little detail on why I am asking these audio related questions for. I mean once again I thought this was a place for advice, tips and help for everything audio related big or small. But yeah guys sorry for the long post I just wanted to keep it small originally but I guess this had to be done to put who evers doubts aside.

cheers
The Yamaha will require adaptors at the input, in your situation. 1/4 inch male to rca female, or cables made with 1/4 inch male and rca male. Available through the Bay, Amazon or any number of places on the web. Enjoy ! MrD.

Mate I do have the rti a7s. The infinty reference 60s are my fathers speakers since he does not have an account. I am asking for my father, I am happy to take a screen shot of my purchase, print out receipt and date and picture next to my A7s and Denon Poa 2800. If also want I can take a picture of my father standing next to the Infinty reference 60s with today’s date if you would like? Sorry I thought this was an audio website where you could ask for advice and tips in regards to anything audio related. Don’t have time or energy to waste or waste other people’s time. I know you have commented on my earlier posts before and I appreciate that and respect that. But please don’t accuse me of making things up for attention? What for? Really?
In another post you claim to have Infinity Ref 60's. You could be a contestant on To Tell The Truth - ancient TV show!
You posted on 11 -13 - 18 that you bought the Denon POA2800 for $560AU. Why then ask about buying the Yamaha amp? Stick with the Denon - if you really did buy it!
