DCM Time WIndow Identification Help

Very nice! I owned them in 1981 & they had curved top & bottom plates along the back side & standard binding posts for cable connections. They were fun, quite dynamic, pretty detailed w/ a big sound stage if you raised them off the floor about 10 inches. I drove them w/ a pair of strapped to mono Hafler DH 200 power amps I built from kits along w/ a db Systems pre amp & Thorens 160 Super table.

No, mine are not pirated DCMs, they were made by the brother who stayed in South Africa and made them there for a period of time under the ARD name.
The famous Time Windows were designed by two final year engineering students at Wits University, Johannesburg, in the early 70s. One of the guys (his name escapes me) went to live in America where he launched the DCM speaker company with the Time Windows. The other guy, Hans-Joachim Fabianek stayed in SA, settling in a small coastal city called East London from where he built these beautiful speakers, and a few other models, under the name ARD.

AA was on Long Island. I had a pair as well. I remember those were the days everyone used lamp cord to hook up speakers. 

Another clue came from my final conversation with the original owners. He bought them in South Africa. ARD Time Window speakers are discussed here: 

I was a DCM dealer and those are marked ARD Time Window"?  Wonder if DCM was originally ARD and these are their first models.

A little different, but a little the same...

It's similar - I think mine might be a second generation Model 3. Serial number starts with "30". The top plate is different than the one in the video. 

It looks like the model 3!
